  2. Will the fare adjustment support continued high levels of service performance and a better travel experience?

At present, KLIA Ekspres already provides a fast and reliable rail connection between the airport and the city. With an on-time service performance of 99.7%, KLIA Ekspres is already on par with leading air-rail train services around the world. Moving forward, ERL will continue to focus on maintaining high levels of operational and service performance for our passengers.
  3. How is ERL helping to make travel more affordable and accessible for passengers?

ERL continues to offer a range of fare options to help passengers save on their journeys. Passengers can enjoy 10% off standard fares when purchasing tickets online via the KLIA Ekspres website or mobile application. For regular commuters, the KLIA Transit Monthly Season Pass offers significant savings compared with standard one-way fares, with savings of up to 84% for 44 trips. ERL also offers various promotions from time to time, providing passengers with more value and flexibility when travelling.
  4. Will you be increasing the service frequencies following the fare adjustment?

Yes. KLIA Ekspres currently operates every 20 minutes. The service frequency will be increased to every 15 minutes in the first quarter of 2027.
  5. Does ERL continue to offer promotional fares, including during festive periods and school holidays?

ERL may offer promotional fares, special offers and other selected promotions from time to time, including during selected travel periods. Passengers are encouraged to visit the KLIA Ekspres website (www.KLIAekspres.com) and follow ERL’s official social media channels for the latest promotions and offers.
  1. Why should I choose KLIA Ekspres instead of traveling by bus, taxi or e-hailing services?

KLIA Ekspres offers a convenient and time-efficient way to travel between the city and the airport, with a 28-minute journey between KL Sentral and KLIA T1 (33 minutes to T2). Compared with road-based transport, where journey times can vary depending on traffic conditions, travelling by rail provides a more predictable journey while avoiding traffic congestion and the need to find parking. The journey is further enhanced by complimentary 5G Wi-Fi and flight check-in facilities at KL Sentral for participating airlines.
  2. Why is the ERL fare different from KTMB and Prasarana fares?

ERL operates under a different service and fare structure from KTMB and Prasarana. KTMB and Prasarana services are supported by government subsidies, which is one of the factors contributing to differences in passenger fares.
