Procurement Assistant

E-MAS is seeking a Procurement Assistant
The role involves optimizing purchasing processes, sourcing and registering suppliers, negotiating terms, and ensuring compliance with shipping and customs regulations. Key responsibilities include creating accurate purchase orders in SAP, tracking deliveries, and managing import/export documentation.

  • Optimize purchasing through assessment, clarification, strategic sourcing, and cost-effective quality control.
  • Manage supplier sourcing by selecting from Approve Supplier List, surveying new vendors, requesting and evaluating quotation, registering suppliers, and updating SAP record.
  • Negotiate optimal purchase terms and ensure suppliers meet shipping and customs requirements.
  • Create accurate PO in SAP with complete and correct order details.
  • Ensure timely PO approval, communicate with suppliers and track delivery status.
  • Ensure compliance with import/export laws, coordinate deliveries, manage customs clearance, and maintain exemption records.
  • SPM / Diploma in any field
  • Minimum 5 years of working experience in procurement
  • Knowledge of customs coding classification and special import requirements is an added advantage
  • Excellent command of both Bahasa Malaysia and English (spoken and written)
  • Prompt in following up and managing work priorities
  • Malaysian citizen only.
