Bandar Tasik Selatan is an interchange station located on the outskirts of the capital, Kuala Lumpur. The station serves as both a stop and interchange for KLIA Transit, KTM Komuter, Ampang Line LRT and RapidKL buses. The station is accessible via the Kuala Lumpur Middle Ring Road  (MRR2) from the southeast and indirectly, the Sungai Besi Expressway from the west.

The Bandar Tasik Selatan station is part of a 5-station KLIA Transit airport rail link between KLIA and KL City Air Terminal (KL Sentral). The station provides support for disabled passengers with elevators and inclinations up and down uneven walkways.
