  • Train Fares

    1. What is the train fare for KLIA Transit train service from KL Sentral to KLIA? KLIA Transit only offers standard one-way fares. Please refer the following table for KLIA Transit standard one-way fares:-Click here to view.
       
    2. Does a senior citizen from other countries entitle for a discounted fare? At the moment, the senior citizen promotional fare of RM20 one-way is only applicable for Malaysian. We do not have any promotional discounted fare for senior citizen from other countries.

       
    3. Do you have special fare for student? There is no special fare for student. However, you may contact our Sales Team at 03-2267 8888 for bulk ticket purchase (at a minimal quantity of 100 pcs).

       
    4. Do you have special fare for disable person? Yes. For KLIA Transit tickets, disabled person with proof of OKU card issued by Department of Social Welfare Malaysia can ride on KLIA Transit at a reduced fare (normal fare less 30%). Please ask for the concession fare at the KLIA Transit Ticket Counter.

  • Ticketing
    1. What is the ticket validity for KLIA Transit standard one-way ticket? KLIA Transit standard one-way ticket is valid for 1 year from date of issuance.
       
    2. What is the validity of the senior citizen’s ticket? The senior citizen’s ticket is valid within 2 hours after ticket purchase.

       
    3. Can I purchase the KLIA Transit standard ticket in advance? KLIA Transit standard one-way ticket is valid for 1 year from date of issuance. Therefore, you can purchase the ticket in advance or on the day of travel.

       
    4. I have purchased a one-way ticket for the sector of XKL-KUL i.e KL Sentral to KLIA. Can I use the ticket for train boarding from Bandar Tasik Selatan instead? You are not allowed to board the KLIA Transit train from a different sector other than the one printed on your ticket. If the travelling sector printed as XKL-KUL, then you can only use the ticket to enter KLIA Transit station’s KL Sentral and to exit at KLIA Transit station’s KLIA.

       
    5. I bought a one-way ticket for the sector of BTS-KUL i.e Bandar Tasik Selatan to KLIA. Can I use the ticket from KLIA to Bandar Tasik Selatan? The KLIA Transit standard one-way ticket is not reversible. You can only use the ticket for the travelling sector as printed on the ticket i.e from Bandar Tasik Selatan to KLIA and not from the opposite direction.

       
    6. I intend to take the KLIA Transit train from KL Sentral Station to KLIA, after work tomorrow. Can I purchase the one-way ticket in advance from Bandar Tasik Selatan tonight as I live nearby the area? You can only purchase the ticket from the boarding station.

       
    7. I have purchase a one-way ticket on your KLIA Transit train service. However, I have not use the ticket as my flight has been cancelled. Can I get a refund? There is no refund for unused ticket due to passenger’s change of mind, personal reason, airline matters or any other reasons which are not within our liability.
      Under the Conditions of Carriage approved by the Department of Railways, we can only offer compensation for the value of the ticket purchased, if there is a delay of 60 minutes or more to the train service, for any unused tickets.
      The unused ticket can be used for future trip, as long as the ticket has not expired.

       
    8. I have mistakenly took the KLIA Ekspres train from the airport to KL Sentral Station, when I should be stopping at Bandar Tasik Selatan. Can I get a refund for the KLIA Transit ticket which I have purchased in advanced? There is no refund for boarding the wrong train.
      You are required to purchase a new ticket i.e: KLIA Ekspres one-way ticket for your journey on KLIA Ekspres train from the airport to KL Sentral Station.
      You have the option of taking the taxi service or purchase a new ticket for KLIA Transit train service from KL Sentral Station to Bandar Tasik Selatan.
      To avoid such incident in the future, please ensure that you have bought the correct ticket and boarded the correct train service. Your ticket has been printed with all the necessary details such as the train service and the travelling sectors. Please do no hesitate to ask for assistance from our Ticketing Officer should you require further clarification. 

       
    9. Does KLIA Transit accept Touch N' Go cards like KLIA Ekspres ? Yes. We accepted Touch N' Go cards in all KLIA Transit station since December 2011. However, each card must have at least minimum of RM35 balance before you can use it.

  • Putrajaya Station – Feeder Service/Parking Facility/Counter Service
    1. Where is the location of your KLIA Transit station at Putrajaya? The Putrajaya & Cyberjaya KLIA Transit station is located within the Western Transport Terminal (WTT) in Precinct 7. The terminal, also known as Putrajaya Sentral is managed by Perbadanan Putrajaya.
       
    2. Is there any feeder bus service at the KLIA Transit station, Putrajaya? There is a public transportation available at the station. You can take the Nadi Putra buses, Rapid KL bus service or the taxi service.

       
    3. How do I go to Cyberjaya? You can take the Rapid KL bus service or the taxi service to go to Cyberjaya.

       
    4. Is there any parking facility at your Putrajaya station? What are the parking charges? The Putrajaya Sentral Station provides indoor and outdoor parking facility for commuters. This park-and-ride facility is managed by Perbadanan Putrajaya. The current charges are as follows:


      Covered car park: RM2 per entry (or RM5 per day exceeding 14 hours)


      Open car park: RM1 per hour


      Parking charges are subject to changes. Please check with Perbadanan Putrajaya for further details and terms & conditions.


       

    5. Is it safe to park my car at the station? The security within and around the Putrajaya Sentral is under the jurisdiction of Perbadanan Putrajaya. As normally is the case at most managed parking lots, car owners park their vehicles at their own risks. ERL is not responsible for any damage to the parked vehicles or theft.
       
    6. What is the operational hour of your ticket counter at KLIA Transit station, Putrajaya? The ticket counter opens from 6am to 10:30pm, daily.

  • Bandar Tasik Selatan – Feeder Service/Parking Facility/Counter Service
    1. How to get to your Bandar Tasik Selatan Station? KLIA Transit station at Bandar Tasik Selatan is accessible by STAR LRT and KTM train service. Please log on to our website to view the route map to the station.

       
    2. What is the operational hour of your ticket counter at KLIA Transit station, Bandar Tasik Selatan? The ticket counter opens from 6am to 10:30pm, daily.

       
    3. Is there any parking space at the Bandar Tasik Selatan Station? How much does it cost? There is an outdoor parking area right in front of the station. The parking area is free of charge.

       
    4. Is it safe to park my car at your Bandar Tasik Selatan station? There is no parking attendant to supervise the security of the parked vehicles. You are to park your vehicle at your own risks. We will not be liable for theft or damaged to the parked vehicles.

       
    5. Is there any feeder bus or taxi service at the Bandar Tasik Selatan station? There is no feeder bus or taxi service available at the station. You need to contact the taxi operator for pick-up service from the station.

  • Check-In
    1. Do you allow passengers to check-in at KLCAT, KL Sentral Station? At the moment, check-in service is only available for MAS, Cathay Pacific Airways and Royal Brunei Airlines. For other airlines, you can carry your luggage on board the train and to proceed with check-in upon arrival at the airport.

       
    2. When do I check-in? For international flight – you are required to check-in at least 2 hours before flight departure. For domestic flight without luggage – you are required to check-in at least 1 ½ hours before flight departure.
      Please contact your airlines for the latest update on check-in policy and procedure.

       
    3. How do I check-in? Please proceed to the KLIA Ekspres Departure at KLCAT (located at Level 1, KL Sentral Station). You are required to purchase the train ticket first prior to check-in. The airlines check-in counters are located opposite of the KLIA Ekspres ticket counter. Upon check-in, boarding pass will be issued to you and your luggage will be tagged to your flight destination. For international flight, immigration process will be conducted at the airport. Right after check-in, please proceed to our Automated Control Gate (ACG) to insert your ticket and down to the train platform to catch the next train to the airport. You only need to carry your hand luggage as your tagged luggage will be transferred directly to the airport.

       
    4. How early can I check-in? You can check-in early, as long as you check-in on the same day as your flight departure’s date. Please contact your airline for more information.

       
    5. Can I check-in at KL Sentral Station if I were to take the KLIA Transit train service instead of the KLIA Ekspres? You can check-in at KLCAT, KL Sentral Station as long as you have a valid KLIA Ekspres or KLIA Transit ticket.

       
    6. Is there any check-in facility at KLIA Transit station at Bandar Tasik Selatan? There is no check-in facility at any of the KLIA Transit intermediate stations. KLIA Transit passengers at the intermediate stations are required to check-in upon arrival at the airport. Check-in service is only available at KLCAT, KL Sentral Station.

       
    7. Can I check-in courier bags? Courier bags are strictly not allowed for check-in.

       
    8. Can I check-in my golf bags? Golf bags are regarded as Out of Gauge Bags. Therefore, it will not be allowed to checked-in.

       
    9. What is the operation hour of the airlines check-in counters at KLCAT, KL Sentral Station? The airlines check-in counters open from 4:30am to 11:30pm, daily.

  • Special Handling
    1. Do you provide special handling for airline passengers? Airline passengers requiring Special Handling should refer to their respective Airlines or Ground Handling Agents.


    • Baggage
      1. How many carry-on bags are allowed to be taken into the train? Carry-on bags into the train cabin should not exceed 3 pieces per passenger and each bag should not exceed 30 kg.

         
      2. Since I am not able to check-in my surf board at KL Sentral Station, can I carry it onto the train for check-in service at the airport? Bulky items that might pose a safety hazard during an emergency evacuation will not be allowed on board the trains. Surf boards and bicycles are strictly prohibited.

         
      3. What should I do if my baggage which I have checked-in at KLCAT, KL Sentral Station is lost? All enquiries and claims in respect of checked-in baggage should be made direct to your airline or their ground-handling agent. Therefore, please notify your airline immediately for their further action.

  • Porter Service/Trolley
    1. Do you provide any assistance to passenger who travels with heavy luggage? We do provide porter service for passenger who requires assistance with the luggage transfer. Porter service is free of charge.

       
    2. Do you provide porter service for both of the train services? Porter service is only available on KLIA Ekspres train service.

       
    3. Do you provide trolleys at the stations? How much does it cost? There are ample trolleys provided at the KLIA Ekspres stations at KL Sentral and KLIA. However, due to safety reasons trolleys are not available at the KLIA Transit intermediate stations. For KLIA Transit passengers, trolleys are only made available at KL Sentral Station (upon request) and KLIA.

       
    4. Can I push the trolley on the train? For safety reasons, trolleys are not allowed in the train. Please get the porter to assist you with the luggage transfer.

  • Wheel-Chair Handling | Food & Drink On Board Train
    • Wheel-Chair Handling
      1. Do you provide wheel-chair for passenger? Wheel-chair passenger must provide and travel on their own wheel-chair with arrangements to have own escort in attendance.

         
      2. Do you provide a safe area for wheel-chair passenger on the train? How many wheel-chaired passengers can you accommodate at any one time? KLIA Ekspres has only one dedicated wheel-chair position on board the train cabin for securing the equipment. For safety reasons, we will allow the carriage of only one wheel-chair per train at any one time.

         
      3. Do you provide the same facility on KLIA Transit train? KLIA Transit train does not have the wheel-chair securing equipment.
        Wheel-chair passenger can only take the KLIA Ekspres train service.


    • Food & Drink On Board Train
      1. Do you serve food and drink on board the trains? We do not provide any refreshments on board the trains. Food and drinks are not allowed to be carried or consume on board the KLIA Ekspres and KLIA Transit train services.

  • Smoking | Pets & Animals On Board Train
    • Smoking
      1. Can I smoke inside the train or do you provide a smoking area for your passengers? There is no smoking area for passengers. Please adhere to the “No Smoking” regulations on board and at the KLIA Ekspres and KLIA Transit stations. Smoking is also prohibited in the KL City Air Terminal (KLCAT).
         

    • Pets & Animals On Board Train
      1. Am I allowed to carry my pet on board the train? No pets or animal are allowed on board the KLIA Ekspres and KLIA Transit trains.
