Kuala Lumpur, 1st September 2010: Express Rail Link (ERL) has launched its online ticketing portal for KLIA Ekspres tickets today. Customers anywhere in the world can now buy and pay online, and have KLIA Ekspres tickets issued automatically through its website www.KLIAekspres.com.
Chief Executive Officer of ERL, Pn. Noormah Mohd Noor, said: “To grow our business, we need to reach out to the rest of the world, and provide our customers with easier processes and buying choices. The new portal offers greater flexibility in making purchases from the comfort of their home or office 24-hours-a-day.”
For first-time customers, they will need to register online and activate their email account before proceeding to the next step. There are options to select ticket type, quantity and travel date. Tickets can be added to the shopping cart, and the total fare will be calculated automatically. Once the order is confirmed, payment can be made through Mastercard or Visa credit cards using our secure payment gateway.
Customers will get an e-ticket confirmation sent to their email address, issued instantly 24-hours-a-day, seven days a week, upon payment online via credit card. With this e-ticket, passengers can go directly through the gates just by using the bar code printed on it.
To mark the launch and the company’s 8th Anniversary this year, ERL is offering 8 iPads in a draw, for any tickets purchased online from 1st September to 31st October 2010. One thousand KLIA Ekspres single trip tickets at RM1.00 are also available only online for early customers. Full terms and conditions are available on the website.
