Position available: Manager/Assistant Manager – Business Development

Location: Kuala Lumpur – KL Sentral

Job Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for securing, developing and identifying new business idea/model, develop the business plans, execute and follow through the implementation to generate revenues and growth for the company and increase market share in the industry under the supervision of the CEO
  • Plan, direct, coordinate and lead activities of company development projects to ensure that goals, objectives are accomplished within the prescribed time frame and budget
  • Develop and implement creative and aggressive business development to strengthen existing business and future business growth
  • Develop negotiating strategies and positions by studying integration of new venture with company strategies and operations, examining risks and potentials, estimating partners’ needs and goals
  • Execute business development relating to property development
  • Responsible for the development of the Retailer Channel of Distribution by identifying potential retailers for appointment and establishing good business relationship with selected retailers – leading to the achievement of sales target and the quality of customer service expected
  • Prepare and manage budget and cash flows
  • Keeping abreast of issues affecting property/rail/retail industry and collecting competitor intelligence
  • Undertake all other assignments and duties as instructed by the CEO from time to time

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration/Management/Marketing or equivalent with minimum 8 – 10 years working experience in a related field
  • Preferably Manager specialized in Business Development, Property and Retail background
  • Confident negotiator and ability to ‘close the deal’
  • Capable of hands on problem-solving, with ability to generate ideas and solutions
  • A positive and determined approach to researching and analysing new business opportunities
  • Ability to cope with competing demands and to prioritise tasks
  • Initiative, resourceful, self-motivated and able to work independently and a team player
  • Strong leadership qualities, analytical skills, aggressive, result-driven and hardworking
  • Good command of language (written and spoken) in English and Bahasa Malaysia
  • A sound understanding of the property/rail/retail sector would be a distinct advantage
